Do you enjoy the outdoors? Do you spend a lot of time in your front and back yard? Then you know that appropriate lighting is just as essential outdoors as is indoors! Whether you enjoy lounging on the porch during summertime, or having barbeques in the backyard year-round, outdoor wall mounts are essential in home improvement!
Wall mounts, though great for perfecting your home’s unique style, are extremely practical. During the day, they appear as a decorative piece, contributing to the exterior of your house (often overlooked). But then, at night, they transform into glowing lights that illuminate the front of your home. Turning on these wall mounts is an easy way to make guests feel immediately welcome, or even jealous of your elegant décor! Additionally, exterior wall mount give you peace of mind. Keeping your front and backyard well-lit will keep any unwanted visitors out, and give your family more time to stay active outdoors!
When installing Kichler Outdoor Wall Mounts in an entry way, you should first consider the height of the door. You have two options here, you could place one mount on one side of the entry way, or you could place one mount on each side of the door. In the first case, when installing one wall mount, we recommend fixing it about one-third the height of the door. However if you choose to install one wall mount on each side of the door, we suggest placing them around one-fourth the height of the door. In either case, the fixture should be mounted approximately 66’’ above the door threshold. Don’t forget, the size of the wall mount makes a difference too! From the street (about 50 feet away), the wall mounts appear around half their normal size.
